Events in Obey Me happen just about every 2-3 weeks and last about 11 days with only a short break ( if Otaku Bootcamp is considered a break ) between them.

So it's easy to get discouraged when you don't get to finish out all the rewards in the current event.

Or feel overwhelmed when you're tossed into the deep end for your first go.

But fret not: I've got a guide for you.

Despite my hatred of mathematics, I've made some plug in formulas for you to see just about where you'd land for free during any event.

How?

First we have to consider the type of event. Obey Me has 4 types of events at the time of posting.

  • Regular events

  • Otaku Bootcamp

  • Birthdays

  • Celestial Blessing boxes

Each event does things slightly different, and must be taken into account. So I'll cover Regular Events in this one, and cover birthdays and Celestial Boxes in their own posts to come. I've already covered Otaku Bootcamp in its own post.

So how's it work?

Events come around, like I mentioned about every 2-3 weeks and usually consist of a story that will come in 2 parts.

Each page will have story parts and dance battles, and as you clear battles you'll obtain a temporary reward that is somehow related to the events story.

Valentines day for example might be roses, chocolates or teddy bears.

Christmas could be ornaments, gingerbread men or candy canes.

As you do battles, you'll collect X of the current item. No, not a typo, each type of event will vary how much you're going to gain. Usually around 120 for normal events, 12 for birthdays. Cheat cards and boosting days can mess with this number though, so it's up to you to find and plug in the correct numbers.

Some of those numbers seem super low, is there anything I can do to boost my chances?

Actually, yes!

Events usually come paired with a new set of Cards in Nightmare, and will be labeled as "cheat cards", they will boost the number of event item by a small amount!

And yes, I mean small. It's not going to make it a breeze, and cheat cards lose their boost after the event ends.

Also, some events will come with a well bwell broadcasted boosting period where your base amount of rewards are temporarily doubled! Make sure to take advantage of it!

If there is a boost period, the game will let you know via a pop-up like this one once the event gets going, and you can choose to not see the alert again by clicking the bottom left box before you lose out the alert.

Ok, so now what?

Well, we need to take a look at the number of stars that are available on each page, you can do that by clicking here

Each battle note will have an opportunity for 3 battles, represented by the 3 stars you can earn if you completely fill the meter on your side.

So take the number of stars across both pages and add them together for a total number of battles.

Example:

We'll use the White Day 2023 event as an example.

39 + 39 = 78

Now add 5 more, because once you use up your battles, you can watch an ad and gain a battle, you can do this 5 times a day.

78 + 5 = 83

This is your total number of free battles you can have every day of the event. You can purchase more with D-Energy or use Dp, but it's best to wait until you've exhausted your free battles first, because you only have so much Ap during the day.

Can't I just buy more Ap?

You could, but it will get expensive fast. Remember, DP is hard to replace because it comes by less and less as you get up in level, and it takes so much to use for summoning in Nightmare.

It takes 5 minutes to refill 1 ap until your level cap. I believe it was 50 when you first start off and it stops growing at 100.

You can gain AP through the To Do List and watching ads, for a total of 200 free ap a day. Best to use what's free before your precious resources.

If you really want to buy more, I suggest waiting until you run completely out and get this prompt:

You'll get 200 AP for 10 dp, that's double what you'll get if you buy it without the pop up.

What about the formulas?

Alright, so to predict how far you'll get on the reward ladders you'll need to take your total free battles and multiply it by the amount you'll earn as a reward

# of Individual battles × ( multiplied by)

# of event items per battle =

# of event items youll gain a day

# of battles a day × (multiplied by)

# of event days =

Total battles for event

Total # of battles × (multiplied by)

# of items you'll gain per battle =

How many you'll obtain in total

Example: it's valentines day and the temporary item reward is roses. You gain 20 roses per battle.

There's 36 battles on page 1 and 42 on page 2.

36 + 42 = 78

That's a total of 78 battles. Then add the 5 from the ads and you have a grand total of 83 free battles a day.

11 days is the typical length of an event, so we'll multiply by it.

83 × 11 = 913 total battles for the event

Now 913 total battles multiplied by 20 roses per battle is

913 × 20 = 18,260

That means if I use all my free battles, everyday of the event I'll make it to 18, 260 roses and will land on whatever reward that is.

Warning!

It is literally impossible to clear all 5 pages of rewards in the time frame unless you go broke selling your soul to Solmare for DP to use for more battles and AP, it's designed that way to generate revenue.

But there's hope!

After a certain amount of time, regular events and celestial blessings boxes are added to a feature known as Lonely Devil, you can find it here:

First go to your home page and swipe to the left!

There it is!

For 10 dp or for LD Tickets (sometimes a reward in events) you can revive a past regular event from as far back as the first event and play it for 4 days before it goes back to being locked.

Cheat cards however have lost their power and you will receive the standard amount of event item during every battle.

Also: birthday events are not added to Lonely Devil, and will be only revived a short time before the current birthday event.

Example, at the time of posting it's 2023, so the 2022 birthday events were revived for a short time before the 23' event. It's your last chance to grab the cards that eluded you last year.

From the writer:

The formulas feom before will help with any event, so long as you input the correct numbers!

So feel free to visit older events you may have missed and experience the stories as well as reap all the rewards to help further your gameplay!

Happy playing!
