Obey Me: Ultimate Guide
A guide for newbies to learn their way in the Devildom!
Want a quick Card Leveling Guide? I have one!
Introduction
The Home Page & Apps
Obey Me is pretty unique in the way that the homepage is set up much like your IRL phone. It has Apps to use that allow you to venture into the different parts of the game!

We will start on the left side of the screen and go across for non-apps but important info! Then to the left side of the screen down, then tackle the apps from left to right on the right hand side to make things as simple as possible!
Player Level
It’s not an app, but it is on the home page and it is important! As you play Obey Me (OM) you will gain what I call User EXP (UEXP) and it will level you up alongside your cards. As you grow in level you will gain rewards. At level 100, your AP (assignment power or energy) will max out at 100. The only way to hold more than 100 is to be gifted extra AP or to go VIP (we will go over VIP rewards later)

If you tap your player level, a little drop down box will appear and show you with a bar, how much UEXP you have gained, and how much you have left until your next level up.

Assignment Power
AP, or the energy you will use in the game in order to complete your tasks. It’s easy to see in the center of your home screen and will be available to see in most cases. You gain 1 AP for every 5 mins you wait, so the more you use–the more you have to wait for it to refill. Thankfully, unlike previous Solmare Shall We Date Games, it doesn’t take AP to read story chapters–so feel free to reread as much as you want--of what you have unlocked already!

There is 210 free AP available during the day. You won’t understand where to find it until later, so just keep it in mind!
Grimm
Grimm is basically the Gold of the currency system for OM. You gain it from doing your tasks and use it on various upgrades for your cards in order to progress. It’s fairly easy to obtain, but the cost of advancing goes up rather quickly, so if you are not careful, you will run out and struggle! But don’t fret, as I mentioned, it’s fairly easy to obtain again–it’ll just take longer for those more pricey upgrades!

Devil Points
Think of Devil Points (DP) as credits on a credit card, it’s also a form of currency and it often spends more quickly than you can gather it! It’s not as easy to obtain as Grimm is, but it can also be used to buy back AP and Grimm, or hoarded to buy chances for Cards from the Gacha called Nightmare. You can use it in Akuzon, the Devildom equivalent to Amazon to buy items that are hard to earn, or packages that come with helpful items in a single bundle!

If DP is available to earn anywhere that we cover later, I’ll make sure to highlight the note!
Settings
Here you can change any settings you need. Your MC name, the language, your profile settings, the sounds and more! There's also a help button!

Phone
There is a lot you can do in the phone app–from listening to calls from the cast of characters, to seeing your relationship level, adding friends and inviting some of your own!

Everyday at (10AM), you have the option to send the friends on your list free AP! In return, you also get free AP!* You can receive 50 a day from friends if you have that much unlocked, when you first start off though-you won't have as many.

Messages
One fun part about the game functioning as a phone, is sometimes you get to see or participate in fun text chats from the characters! Those marked with an Eye in orange means you can only spectate the conversation as your character (MC) isn’t included, but those lacking the eye means you can choose an option of dialog or response to get different reactions!

Chats in Pink are highlighted because you have yet to open and read them yet!
Majolish

Think of Majolish as your homepage settings, but also as a store!
You can check the details of each character with their profile!

You can change the boy here:

But make sure you hit Set to save your changes!

You can remove all the User Interface with this button

And see a full sized model of your boy with this button! And yes, it'll appear sideways.

You can change their outfit and the background as well, so long as you have unlocked them on their corresponding cards! You unlock outfits in Devil’s Tree (we will get to that later)

When an event has finished, it’s your birthday (set when you join the game!) or there's been a gift given from the development teams (Devs) it’ll end up in your Mail app under Presents

They have an expiration date, so make sure you collect them in time, or lose them!
Notices is where you can see any updates from the Devs about maintenance or any bugs that have happened unexpectedly
Websites show off 3rd party websites that have to do with OM! Make sure to check it for updates on the Manga and merch you can buy!

Akuzon

Akuzon is the Amazon equivalent in OM and has many different items available for purchase, either for actual currency (IRL Cash) or DP. Depending on your status (Free to play *F2P* or VIP) some bundles may or may not be available.
When you open Akuzon, it'll take you straight to the Specials that are currently running.
VIP

You can become VIP by selecting it from the line up on the left side of the screen and subscribing. It is a recurring subscription for $9.99 a month and it has a slew of perks that come with it. From being able to freely watch Deviltube in the app, extra slots in :D Jobs, and extra AP given everyday and the ability to skip battles in events! (a real time saver!)
However, hope is not lost if you're a F2P player like me (Also, pssst. You can get a 1 week free trial of being VIP, so make sure to claim it, use it for all its worth, and dump it before it charges your account!)
*I’m not responsible if you forget to stop your subscription and it charges you, that’s on you, the individual player, I’m just here to tell you that it’s available*
Devil Points

Pretty straight forward, if you need a little more DP or simply want to horde it, you can buy bundles of it for IRL cash that will be charged to your debit or credit card on file, these are immediate, single purchases and will not run out (Unlike the bundles available in the Specials location)
Items

Wouldn’t be much of a store if you couldn’t buy in-game items for in-game currency, right?
For DP In the Items section, you can buy useful items!
Demon Vouchers
DV is an item solely used in the Gacha Nightmare and is 1 of 2 of the hardest currencies to gain in the game. For 10 DV you can do a 10 pull in Nightmare and get 10 cards (most people do this to try and gain special limited time cards)

Glowsticks
Glowsticks help you get a little more power behind your cards for the battles. (We’ll go over those later).

Each character has a color associated with them, and to tell who can use a glow stick before buying them, click it and it will show you in a pop-up.

Keys

Story keys are required if you want to read the Devilgram stories associated with a lot of cards. They are needed in little batches (3, 5, 8, 10 or somwehere in between) and are available each day in small amounts, or given as gifts–so while not as easy to collect as Grimm, there is a chance to earn a few every day
Surprise Guest items

When you win a battle, you have a chance for a Surprise Guest to come visit you.

You can interact with them by tapping or rubbing parts of their bodies to get reactions. Good reactions (like giving them food and presents they like, which will show with sparkles, like the sandwich for Asmo) will raise your intimacy level and sometimes you can even get presents!

Raven

Part 2 of the hardest to earn currency in the game. Raven is shown with black feathers and is available a few times during your day, but isn’t nearly as available as Grimm–I would put it on par with DV in terms of rarity.
You can gain Raven by gathering presents from Surprise Guests
Getting duplicate cards in Nightmare (the better the rarity, the more Raven you gain)
Rewards from Events, Challenges and gifts from Devs

You can use Raven for some very special items such as these card pieces. You can buy them one by one for 15 Raven each, or a batch of 10 for 150 Raven, each card requires anywhere from 50 to 80 or so pieces to fuse into a single copy of the card. It was somewhat recently updated, so look forward for more in the future!

:D Jobs

:D Jobs is a way to passively earn a lot of Grimm once you get it leveled up. Ristorante Six is the last stop on the train of places to earn, with a whopping 10,400 Grimm reward per 8 hours of work.
You can put up to 2 workers at a single job place for dou le the income.

To unlock new locations, you must meet their requirements (working specific jobs, a specific number of times. Once it’s unlocked, it’s that way forever, and you can pick and choose which to work based around your schedule)
You can place up to 2 characters per place, but for F2P players, you only have 3 available slots, so you have to be smart with where you put them to work. VIP members get 2 extra slots available!
The earnings go as follows from least to most in this format:
Name: Wait Time, Reward x 1 character (reward x 2 characters)
Hells Kitchen: 30 mins, 500 grimm per worker (1,000 for 2 workers)
Hocus Pocus: 45 mins, 750 grimm per worker (1,500 for 2)
Akuzon Delivery Center: 1 hour, 1,000 grimm per worker (2,000 for 2)
The Fall: 2 hours, 2,000 grimm per worker (4,000 for 2)
Majolish: 3 hours, 3,000 grimm per worker (6,000 for 2)
The Royal Library: 4 hours, 4,400 grimm per worker (8,800 for 2)
The Mausoleum: 6 hours, 7,200 grimm per worker (14,400 for 2)
Ristorante Six: 8 hours, 10,400 per worker (20,800 for 2)
You can see that you can earn quite a lot from making use of :D Jobs every time you get the push notification on your phone that the characters have completed their jobs. However, as tempting as it is to throw 2 boys in a Ristorante Six and one in the Mausoleum, you want to make sure you have time to work a total of 3 jobs (sending the character to work) so that way you can tick off one of your items on your To Do List (which we will cover in a bit, but trust me, it’s worth it)
Sending 2 boys to work at the same job will only count for 1 in the To Do List
My best suggestion would be to think about your day to day life. Are you in school? College? Working? When are you most available? When are your breaks? And schedule your characters to get done in time with your own breaks. That way you gain as much as possible, but still tick off the item on the To Do List, so you can reap double rewards for your efforts.
Devilgram

Devil Gram is basically just Instagram for OM, a lot (BUT NOT ALL) of the cards come with short little stories you can unlock for Story Keys. Each story revolves around what's going on in the picture so you can tell who its dealing with and what it pertains to.

The line of characters across the top is a filter system, so you can see all the cards of that particular character.
To filter more, click the recommended button

To Do List

I don’t think there is nearly enough emphasis on this part of the game. The To Do List (Daily) resets every day at 11am and has a LOT of rewards for you to gather if you know how to play your cards right (sometimes literally)

You can see the little bar that’s filling up with blue? (Just above our hardworking MC! *psst, tap the sheep for a little surprise in game!*) That’s your progress. When you complete 7 tasks for the day (any of the listed on the Daily Screen), then you can claim 18 free DP…A DAY…EVERY DAY.
18 free DP a day x 7 days a week = 126 DP a week FOR FREE
Note: when I say for free, I mean free IRL cash, as you level up and your cards get higher level, its more lucrative for you to spend a little GRIMM in order to complete some of these daily tasks like summoning in Nightmare (Chapter G) or leveling your cards up, and opening spaces in Devil’s Tree
I don’t have all the Daily To Do tasks listed, but by playing you’ll unlock them, some you may have to put a little more effort into trying to unlock each day–but for that amount of DP on a silver platter–you’d have to be mad to pass it up.
Total

Your Total and Demon’s missions are both Milestone rewards. You can see a few of them listed here. As you play the game, you’ll collect milestones such as passing certain lessons, logging in so many times, gathering stars or interacting with characters certain ways (getting or giving presents and food for examples). Rewards vary from Grimm, Devil Tree Items, AP, Glowsticks, DP and DV so make sure you don’t neglect looking at each!
Demons

Using certain characters in battle, getting or giving gifts with them also count as milestone rewards! So make sure to branch out and use them all to gain all the available rewards!
Fridge Mission

The Fridge Mission is one of those Daily Free AP opportunities you’d have to be crazy to pass up–AP goes fast in OM and you’ll want to gather all you can! From 12 - 2 PM and 6 - 8 PM you can run Beel outta the fridge for Lucifer and get 30 AP each time! (VIP Members get 60 per mission!)
Once you miss the window for the fridge mission, you can’t claim your Free AP and will have to wait until the next day at reset (10AM) for the next chance, so jump on it as soon as you can when you get that push notification!
Revival

Revival takes you back to Nightmare in order to look and see which Gacha special is being featured again, be sure to keep an eye on it! We don’t know if / when it’ll be back!
*You’ll have to use your DP or DV in order to summon from the revival, just like normal Gacha and it can get VERY expensive, so make sure you always keep some in reserve, unless you wanna be like me and struggle each time a new event and Nightmare summon comes around!
Lonely Devil & Events

One thing OM can boast about is the amount of awesome special events they have! (The regular schedule has been Otaku Boot Camp - Event - Otaku Boot Camp etc until a birthday or anniversary comes around)
They’ve had so many that they added the feature Lonely Devil to the game–this allows a player to open past events up for a short amount of time (4 days) in order to read the story and advance through the rewards ladder for each one!

You use Lonely Devil Tickets or DP in order to activate the trip, and it opens on your page as if the event has just dropped. If you have previously joined the event, you don’t have to worry about re-unlocking everything–it comes just as you left it. Same with the rewards ladder!
As long as you have DP or LD tickets to spend, you can keep going back to read your favorite stories over and over again! (Or grind for that particular page 3 card you want!)
Events usually take around 6 months to be added to LD, but Birthday Events are NOT added–they are literally one time only and while the birthday comes around every year–the story and rewards differ each year–so make sure to participate in your favorites!
As I pointed out before, usually after a round of Otaku Bootcamp (Where you play regularly and gain Henry keychains in exchange for leveling up items and AP among other rewards) there comes an event. Events can vary by type of event: Story, Anniversary, Birthday etc so the amount of time will vary–make sure to mark your calendars for your favorite upcoming ones! (you can see the characters birthdays on their profiles in Majolish if you remember!)
Also, I recommend following Obey Me on Twitter with their official page, as you will get notifications about upcoming events and specials before they happen.
We just recently had a change in style for the anniversary event (Celestial Blessing Boxes) so if you want to be alerted ahead of time for changes like that, as well as updates for the story, merch available and upcoming Nightmare summons, please follow them.
Solomon’s Sale
(Picture to come)
Quite possibly the best sale in all the game. Solomon’s sale comes around pretty frequently, though it does have quite the price tag. The Wise Sorcerer doesn’t come cheap.
For 150 DP (thats about 9 days worth of saving from the Daily To Do List) you can get 10 DV (much cheaper than the option in Akuzon!) as well as 50 AP and 5,000 Grimm–but as you can see in the clock–it’s got a time limit! (as well as a buy limit! Usually the buy limit is 1 per person, per sale. Meaning you can buy this one, and wait until it comes around against for the next)
*though it should be noted that they have increased the sale from 1 per person to 2 in the past, so make sure to look at the page if you’re looking to buy!
DevilTube

*I couldn’t take photos inside the Devil tube app to show the episodes because of the security policy in the game*
Deviltube is like the Youtube of the OM universe, you can see the Otaku FM and the Aime here, although you’ll need to be VIP to access most of it.
Go and see my VIP section to remember how much it is and if it’s worth it

Your card collection! (peep mine in the photo!)

You’ll spend a jaw dropping amount of time here! As you’ll need to level up your cards to advance in the story! (We’ll go over that when we make it to the Your Tasks section)
Here you can see how many cards you have, what they’re separated by, as well as what type they are (Demon or Memory) and how far you have Leveled them up in Devil’s Tree.
Lets break down the anatomy of a card. A CARD. You simps. I know what you were thinkin…
When you open a card by tapping it, this is what you will see. It will tell you the level, the amount of EXP you have collected, how much it is to buy out the rest of the level, as well as the skill levels and the % of Devil’s Tree you have unlocked.

Each card has a color assigned to it, which connects to a Sin (note this applies to all cards and they don’t always correspond to the Sin the brother represents. I.e. Not all Pride cards are Lucifer, Simeon will also have a Attribute (Sin) despite being an Angel)
Each card also has a rarity rating, they go from worst to best:
Normal
Rare
Super Rare
Super Super Rare
Ultra Rare/ Ultra Rare+
YOU WANT TO LEVEL YOUR SSR AND UR/UR+ CARDS FIRST AND ALWAYS
As they have more power than any of the other rarities. Even at max Devils Tree and Max Level, your SR card will NOT match up to a UR/UR+ card
The card has an assigned attribute (Sin) and the one that matches it will have the most power, but it doesn’t mean it’s the ONLY power it has. Each card has the 7 attributes (sins) available, but they are not all equal in amount. Look at this Pink Mammon card.

It’s Lust, so naturally the Pink Attribute is one of its most powerful, with Pride and Gluttony being close for 2nd and 3rd. Yet the Yellow (Greed) and Purple (Sloth) attributes are the weakest.
If you don’t have a high enough level card to cover an attribute, the recommended page will select the card with your highest power OF that attribute. (So if you don’t have a Pink card at all, and your Blue Card has the best Lust power, it will select the Blue card)
You remember I mentioned you can get duplicates of cards, and when you do they’ll turn into , Raven right? Well, not at first. See the Special Skill and the ability areas? Notice how they say Level 1 of 10?

That’s because I only have 1 copy of this card in total. If I were to get lucky enough to get another, the skill and ability level would increase to 2. Once you hit 10, any copy of the card you get will change into Raven (this goes for all rarity ratings so expect your Normal and Rare cards to be changing into raven first, as they are the easiest to obtain!)
When you click to go into Devil’s Tree you will see a sort of skill tree like this

Unlocking a bubble will raise that particular attribute (purple for sloth, pink for lust etc), it will take some Grimm and a few Devil Tree Items (theres literally a ton of them, and one for every sin color)
The further into the tree you get, the more expensive. Sometimes you have to be past a certain level to unlock a Star bubble, like this one below. I already unlocked it.

This means you need to be above it’s level cap (as an example, if you have a new card, the first bubble cap is level 10. When you unlock it, it adds 10 levels to your cards Maximum card level (from 80 to 90 as an example)
Without advancing in Devil’s Tree, you can’t max out your cards level.

You see that rose bubble? The ones labeled Devil’s Flower? That is one of the last steps to fully unlocking your card. It also changes the picture on the card and gives you the option to choose between the two at your own pace.
But once you unlock the Devil’s Flower, you unlock the Skill Tree levels, these are only available if you have multiple copies of the card. You can’t buy your way through these.

Nightmare

Nightmare has been referenced before, so I’ll make this short.

For F2P players, you get a free single draw from It chaters A and M every 48 hours (24 if you're VIP)
WARNING: DO NOT USE YOUR DV OR DP ON CHAPTERS A OR M, THEY ARE HERE ALL THE TIME AND WILL NEVER GO ANYWHERE. THERE IS NO TIME LIMIT TO GET THE CARDS AVAILABLE IN THESE NIGHTMARE PULLS
Chapter G is the only Nightmare that cost Grimm and is available every 24 hours for both Free and VIP members. Any pull after that cost 3,000 grimm per single pull (27,000 per 10)
Revivals will appear under Chapter G, and current Nightmares will appear above Chapter A, these are both time limited, so make sure you save your DP and DV for THOSE nightmares.
Then at the top, like in the photo you'll have the newest nightmare, where new, never before seen cards will appear. They're for a limited time, but will eventually return in revivals.
Your Tasks
Here is the meat of it.

Tasks are split into Normal and Hard difficulties. You can choose which to do by selecting the book on the left hand side.

It will always tell you which Lesson number your in, and how many stars you have collected (*pssst* Lessons with 42 stars have extra battles and chapters to read!)
Normal mode looks like this:

And hard mode looks like this:

Currently we are up to Lesson 80 and the new game-- Nightbringer is supposed to drop sometime 2023. Not sure if they're going to drop more lessons here, or if the game will pick up and continue in the other app.
Battles
This is what it looks like when you open up a battle chatper (indicated with a music note). It will show you which cards you are using, their attributes and the total strength of your cards combined.
The smiley face to the right will indicate how easy or hard it is to clear this level. If you find it too difficult to pass, you can attach the glowsticks we mentioned earlier to boost their power for the single battle.

This page will also show you, your opponents skills, strengths, the requested attributes as well as your rewards and how much Ap it cost.

Normal Mode cost 5 AP per battle, but the only limit to ow much you can do in a day is only set by how much AP you have to spend.
Hard mode however, requires 8ap per battle and you can only battle 3 times before you either have to move on or buy more battles with D-Energy or DP

To get the three green stars, you need to fill the meter that appears on your side of the screen during the battle.

As your characters dance, time will go down, and they will accumulate points, the points then fill up the meter on the right.
You can also see hearts that appear, slide your finger across them or tap them for extra points!

If you don't fill up the meter before the timer above hits 0, you won't make all 3 stars and will have to try again later for the last star or two.
If you fail to fill the meter past the bar, you fail.
When you fail, you'll still get some rewards, but not as many as when you pass.

Also, when you fail, you get a prompt about leveling your cards:

Don't fret beloved Exchange Student! I have a strategy that'll keep you from seeing the dreaded Game Over screen:
Grind your tail off on lesson 1-4, it's impossible to lose, so you'll always win and get the 200 card exp, just make sure you are leveling up your devil tree so you don't hit a wall.
I went over this in my leveling guide, but no matter what Lesson you are on, 1 or 80, you get the same rewards. Hard mode grants more Grimm but I'm not gonna dive too deep into it here.

In normal mode when you win you'll gain Grimm, Devil Tree items, get user exp and card exp. (Ignore the goldfish, that's Levi's Otaku Bootcamp and is temporary, I have a guide on it as well)
If you want to know if it's better to train your cards, please check out my Leveling Guide!
Fever Mode
Fever Mode happens sometimes during battle, when the hearts turn into stars! Two and swipe them for extra points.

Ur vs UR+ what's the difference?
The only real difference is that Ur+ cards get a cute little animation that happens during battle once the little green meter under the character is filled.
Once it's filled, it will say 'Tap!' and if you click it, it will unleash a special attack and trigger the animation. UR and down cards simply have the illustration of their card appear. An example being:
Ur Mammon card

Ur+ Luke Card

And last but not least:
Akuber

The devildom answer to Uber! You'll be answering requests from the characters for specific types of food, and will be making sigils to do so!

Slide your finger from number to number in order that the MC Sheep is thinking of! Get through varying rounds (based on levels of 1 star (3 numbers) , 2 star (5 numbers) or 3 stars (5 numbers but there's a 6th in the circle to add difficulty)
You'll be rewarded with Devil Tree items and the sin color will rotate out daily.

You can see what rewards or sin will be next by clicking on the calendar

I do believe I have covered everything but if you can think of something I've forgotten and want to see it added, please feel free to leave a comment and let me know!
On that note, here's a cute MC Sheep for you!
